Abstract/Summary
A national initiative supported by the Council for British Archaeology to record industrial archaeology remains. Local organisations did surveys and completed report cards, which in Lincolnshire were conducted by the Lincolnshire Local History Society (later the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology). The project petered out in the early 1970s.

Copies of the cards and selected photographs were forwarded to the National Archaeological Record (NAR - later the National Monuments Record), then passed to the Lincolnshire HER.
