Full Description

A former stationmaster's house and ticket office, now house, dating from about 1847, probably designed by Joseph Cubbitt for the Great Northern Railway. It was constructed of yellow brick with a hipped slate roof. It has overhanging eaves and two yellow brick wall stacks, one with a later red brick top. The line closed on 17 June 1963. The former stationmaster's house was afterwards retained as a private dwelling. {2}
