Full Description

A former goods shed, now warehouse, built in the mid 19th century for the Great Northern Railway. It was constructed of red brick and has a slate roof with stone coped gables and brick corbelled kneelers. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1} Tattershall station was on a loop line of the Great Northern Railway that opened in 1848 (see PRN 49252). The line closed on 17 June 1963. The Goods Depot was used by a local firm to store bagged products in 1965. At that time it still contained a loading crane fixed on a platform but without a hook or a chain. {2}
