Full Description
Northorpe Railway Station was a two platform station on the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway's Retford to Barnetby line, which was opened in 1848. The platforms were removed following the closure of the station in 1955. The former station house survives, adjacent to the site of the northern platform (see PRN 56731). The former goods shed also survives to the north-east of the station house (see PRN 56732), as does the signal box to the south of the railway line, which is still in use (see PRN 56733). Coal drops were to the eastern end of the sidings, although these have been lifted since the closure of the station. {1}
