Full Description

A former level crossing keepers cottage at Eleys Lane. The crossing was on part of the Lincolnshire Loop line, which was constructed by the Great Northern Railway in October 1848. The building was single-storey, constructed of yellow brick and featured a slate roof. A small window projected slightly on the line-side elevation. A small lean-to was built against the north side at some point after 1905, and separate yellow brick toilets and pig sty were built in the garden before 1905. The building was extant in 1966, but was demolished at some point before the Boston to Algarkirk Diversion road was constructed in 1991. {1}
