Full Description

A former station master's house and ticket office at Northorpe Railway Station. It dates from about 1848, when the station opened, and was retained as a private dwelling after the station closed in 1955. The building is of two-storeys and was constructed of brick with ashlar windows surrounds, lintels, gable coping and kneeler stones. It has pitched slate roofs and is of the typical design for station houses on this line. The building has been rendered since its conversion to private use, although most of the decorative stone is still visible. {1}{2}
