Full Description

A former level crossing keepers cottage at Sibsey Railway Station, which was opened in October 1848, and was closed to all traffic in 1964. The building is of two-storeys, and was constructed of red brick and originally featured a slate roof, although this has been later replaced by tiles. The cottage was not built to the usual standardised form that was used for other structures of this type on the line, and has instead a simpler rectangular plan. The building is still extant, and is now in use as a private residence. {1}{2}
