Full Description
Blyton Railway Station was built in 1848 for the Great Northern Railway. It was closed for passengers and goods in 1959, but the line it served is still open. It was situated on an embankment, reached by a lane from Station Road. On the former north platform is a two-storey, station house/booking hall which is typical of the North Lincolnshire pattern (see PRN 53117). There was a signal box to the west of the north platform, though this has been removed, along with the platforms, and a wooden hut that likely served as a waiting room on the south platform. {1}
