Full Description
A former level crossing keepers cottage at Algarkirk and Sutterton Railway Station, which was opened in October 1848, and was closed to all traffic in 1961. The building was single-storey, constructed of yellow brick and featured a slate roof with a wide overhang. A five-sided projection was to the south-west corner, and a later extension was to the north. A lean-to coal shed was to the south-east wall. The building was extant in 1966, but was demolished at some point before the Boston to Algarkirk Diversion road was constructed in 1991. {1}
