Full Description
A former signal box at Algarkirk and Sutterton Railway Station, which was opened in October 1848, and was closed to all traffic in 1961. The building was constructed of red brick with timber walls above the windows on parts of the walls, and featured a pitched slate roof. The main entrance was by a door on the southern elevation, although access to the lower room was at the north end. A catwalk was beneath the windows and a chimney was to the north-east. The building was extant in 1966, but was demolished at some point before the Boston to Algarkirk Diversion road was constructed in 1991. {1}
