The 'Boston Goods South Junction' signal box was to the south of the level crossing at London Road. The box was on part of the Lincolnshire Loop line, which was constructed by the Great Northern Railway in October 1848. The building was of two storesy and was constructed of red brick with timber walls above the windows on parts of the walls, and featured a pitched slate roof. The main entrance was by a door on the northern elevation, although access to the lower room was at the southern end. There was a small additional single-storey room at the northern end. There was a small separate coal shed to the north. The building was extant in 1969, but was demolished at some point before the Boston to Algarkirk Diversion road was constructed in 1991. {1}
