Full Description

Kirton Railway Station was built in 1848, except for the booking office, which was rebuilt after 1903. The station was on the Great Northern Railway's Lincolnshire Loop line. It comprised a station master's house (PRN 14605), waiting room (PRN 14606), booking office (PRN 14607), goods shed (PRN 14608) and signal box (PRN 14609). The line was closed to all traffic in 1961. The buildings were still occupied in 1966, but were demolished at some point before the Boston to Algarkirk Diversion road was constructed in 1991. {1}
