Description
Fieldwalking has been carried out in Washingborough parish, and just over the parish boundary in Heighington, Canwick and Branston for a number of years. The location of each field has been recorded with information regarding soil types, conditions, and width of transects walked. For details of individual fields see the fieldwalking report. A general background scatter of medieval, post medieval and modern pottery was noted, probably representing manuring scatters. {1}
