Full Description

61290 Flints were recovered during fieldwalking by the Washingborough Group in Field 4. Field 4 has been divided into 5 smaller blocks, and flints were recorded from the three easternmost blocks (4.1-4.3). Field 4.1 (TF 024 690) yielded a barbed and tanged arrowhead, a leaf-shaped arrowhead and a thumb nail (button) scraper and eight flint flakes, while in Field 4.2 (TF 022 689) a leaf-shaped arrowhead, three scapers and three further flints were recovered which showed signs of secondary working, and 14 flakes which may be microliths. In Field 4.3 (TF 024 688) there were 10 flint flakes which are possible microliths. {1}
