An archaeological survey was undertaken on lands forming part of the Brocklesby Estate, comprising field observation and rapid field walking (on a highly selective collecting basis), along with a desk-top assessment. The work was done to appraise the archaeological resource of the estate as part of a wider Heritage Landscape Management Plan. The field walking investigated the arable fields, with transects at 25m intervals. No finds were collected unless they were particularly fine examples or of other specific interest, otherwise, interpretation of the material was made in the field. {1}{2}
