Full Description
Earthworks of a possible Roman road were noted in this location in 1999, during a walk-over survey of land at the Brocklesby Estate. The feature could also be seen on aerial photographs of this area, and was aligned on a north to south axis, matching up with a stretch of parish boundary between Kirmington and Brocklesby. The southern end of the earthwork was truncated by a later quarry pit. {1}{2}
