Full Description

Site of a former Second World War heavy anti-aircraft battery, at Lambert Hill Wood. The battery was designated as Humber battery H36. It was listed as unarmed in June 1942, indicating the site was no longer operational at that time. {1} Four small areas of concrete and disturbed ground were noted in this area in 1999, during a walk-over survey of land at the Brocklesby Estate. The features are thought to be remains of the former battery, marking its location here. {2}{3}
