Full Description

A slight earthwork mound was noted in this area in 1999, during a walk-over survey of land at the Brocklesby Estate. The mound was sited on the crest of a hill above a dry valley, and was thought to represent the possible remains of a former windmill mound. A concentration of chalk rubble was noted within the mound, along with a sparse scatter of post-medieval Toynton type pottery sherds. {1}{2}
