Description

A second phase of magnetometry survey was conducted along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline. The areas surveyed comprised the parts of the proposed pipeline route that could not previously be accessed, along with the expansion of several areas of archaeological significance identified in the first phase. A number of archaeological sites were identified, including some which clearly represent areas of former settlement and agricultural activity, and a possible isolated ring-ditch. {1}
