Traces of medieval ridge and furrow were recorded to the east of North End in June and October 2011, during magnetometry survey along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline (PRN 46107n - TF 3572 9222). The remains were identified as a series of parallel linear magnetic anomalies, aligned on a roughly north-west to south-east axis.
Further remains were also identified a little to the south-east of North End, where a clearly defined system of enclosures and probable settlement features were recorded (PRN 46107o - TF 3570 9196). {3}{4}
