Full Description
A series of ditched enclosures were identified in this location in June and October 2011, during magnetometry survey along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline. The exact date of the enclosures could not be determined, although it was thought that they may be associated with suspected medieval activity in this area, possibly indicating the location of the deserted medieval settlement of Cawthorpe (see PRN 41167). {1}{2}
