Full Description

Former field boundaries, to the north of Brinkhill, were identified on aerial photographs by the National Mapping Programme. {1} Traces of medieval ridge and furrow were identified in this area in June and October 2011, during magnetometry survey along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline. The remains were identified as a series of parallel linear magnetic anomalies, aligned on a roughly north-west to south-east axis, matching the alignment of the boundaries previously identified. {2}{3}
