Full Description

A complex system of ditched enclosures, probable pits and possible hut circles, were identified in this area in June and October 2011, during magnetometry survey along selected parts of the proposed Covenham Water Treatment Works to Boston Transfer pipeline. Although no exact date could be determined, the features appeared to be cut through by the remains of medieval ridge and furrow, and were thought to be characteristic of a probable former settlement site. {1}{2}
