Description
The Silk Willoughby Archaeology Group, with Brian Simmons and others, carried out fieldwalking in Silk Willoughby parish on regular Sundays over the course of 5 years. Approximately 71% of all the land in the parish was walked (the intention was to walk every acre but this was not practical for various reasons). Finds ranging from mesolithic flints through to post medieval pottery, coins and brick were found, with some potentially significant concentrations observed. {1}{2}
