Description

Archaeological excavation was undertaken prior to, and during residential development at Hall Farm, Baston, between June 1993 and September 1994, following earlier trial trenches and geophysical survey schemes. A scatter of residual Roman-British artefacts were recorded, along with evidence for a Late Saxon settlement including timber buildings, and an smithy with iron working furnace. {1}{2}{3}
