Monument record MLI35066 - Approximate Extent of Residual spread of Romano-British Pottery

Summary

Residual spread of Romano-British pottery noted across multiple excavations.

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Although no discrete Romano-British features were identified in the area of land adjacent to Hall Farm, artefacts from the period were thinly scattered across the site. Moreover, the distribution of this material shows a bias toward the northern and western parts of the investigation area. This possibly signifies a Romano-British site north-west of the site towards the junction of the two Roman roads, King Street and the Baston Outgang. {1}{2}
