Full Description
PRN 35891
During investigations on land adjacent to Hall Farm, several east/west aligned ditches and pits containing pottery and clay pipe dating to the seventeenth century and later were recorded. A clearance cut close by contained large amounts of bone, stone roof tiles, brick and early seventeenth to early eighteenth century pottery. These features were thought to relate to probable agricultural reuse of the area in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Extant farmhouses round the village suggest regeneration of the settlement at this time.{1}
