Abstract/Summary

Archive for the excavation of 17 trial trenches and 27 test pits, dug to inform proposed residential development on land north of Woodlands Drive, Colsterworth. A probable animal enclosure with associated post holes was recorded and dated to the late Iron Age or early Roman period. Other recorded features included a Bronze Age pit and a likely quarry pit of unknown date. The remains of medieval ridge and furrow was also identified across much of the site.
