Following earlier schemes as part of a wider scheme of works involving mineral extraction permissions at a potential quarry site at Denton, on the Welby Estate, a further scheme of geophysics was undertaken to the north of the existing sites. An enclosure along with ditches and a pit alignment of probable later prehistoric date, and a possible ring ditch or round barrow southwest of a known, Scheduled barrow, and a potential Romano-British farmstead were recorded.
