A subsequent programme of trial trenching in May-June 2013 revealed an Iron Age ditch that corresponded with this linear anomaly. The ditch measured 2.55m wide and 1.35m deep. Two sherds of Iron Age grog tempered pottery were recovered from the ditch's fills. Possibly represents a field boundary or other land division. {3}{4}
