Description

A programme of non-intrusive archaeological fieldwork, invloving systematic field walking and rapid magnetic susceptibility survey, was carried out on the site of a proposed flood relief zone in the vicinity of the River Warring to the north of Horncastle. Fieldwalking recovered low densities of material dating from the Mesolithic to the early modern periods, with a relative concentration of artefacts in the north-west of the site {1} {2}
