Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of fieldwalking conducted on seven fields surrounding the route of the proposed Grantham Southern Relief Road. Two small clusters of Prehistoric worked flint were identified in the eastern half of the site, and a single cluster of Roman pottery was identified to the west. The two central fields were not walked, as they were in crop at the time of this survey. Notable finds were limited to a single finely worked Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age knife.
