Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising thirty trial trenches excavated on land at Rectory Farm, Grantham, to inform a proposed residential development. A number of trenches were placed to target a possible pit alignment identified during prior geophysical survey (ELI13722). Four pits of possible Mesolithic/early Neolthic to Bronze Age date were encountered, along with an undated boundary ditch. The evaluation also confirmed the presence of ridge and furrow remains across the site.
