Abstract/Summary

A report of evaluation trenching carried out at Rectory Farm, Grantham. The archaeological intervention confirmed the presence of a field system on the site, which is probably Bronze Age to Early Iron Age in date. Romano-British features excavated to the northwest of the site is probably indicative of 2nd to 3rd centuries AD settlement activity. Probable post-medieval quarry pits were also uncovered on the site.
