Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording conducted during groundworks for the construction of private equestrian facilities on land to the west of Kettlethorpe Hall. This comprised a series of three geotechnical test pits and areas of ground reduction and excavation. The monitoring identified two ditches, a drain and two possible robbed out walls, which dated between the 18th and 20th centuries. An assemblage of early modern pottery and ceramic building material was recovered, including brick, pantile and flat roof tile. No further archaeological finds or features were identified.
