Archive for the excavation of twenty three trial trenches, dug to inform proposed residential development on land at Crowders Nurseries, Lincoln Road, Horncastle. The remains of medieval ridge and furrow and probable field boundary ditches were recorded, along with several other ditches of more uncertain date. Also identified was the remains of a pit or pond-like feature, from which small fragments of worked prehistoric flint were recovered.
