Date/Year 2015

Abstract/Summary

Archive for the programme of historic building recording and trial trenching, conducted to inform proposed residential development on land off Mill Lane, Legbourne. The surveyed buildings comprise a two-storey dwelling, known as 'Manor House', and an associated complex of former outbuildings, all of late 18th or early 19th century date. The trenching recorded a row of 18th and 19th century pits and post holes adjacent to the farm buildings, with which they were most likely associated. The remains of an undated ditch was also recorded in the southern-most trench.
