Full Description
Grade II listed churchyard gateway and boundary wall, with railing and war memorial, dating from the early 18th century and altered in the mid 19th century. The war memorial dates from about 1920. The war memorial at Belton was unveiled in 1921 and was designed by the third Earl Brownlow. The memorial takes the form of a tablet affixed to the railings at the north side of the churchyard next to the entrance gate. It consists of a Mansfield stone tablet below a wrought-iron cross and is dedicated to those who fought in the First World War. {2}
