Full Description

Ridge and furrow on north/south, east/west and north-east/south-west alignments, west of Normanton village. {1} During a site visit, north/south aligned earthwork ridge and furrow was observed at SK9377 4582 (centred). During a watching brief, earthwork ridge and furrow was identified centred on SK9485 4615. Medieval pottery was recovered. {2}{3} Geophysical survey in 2000 identified anomalies corresponding to north-south aligned ridge and furrow. {4} See also Settlement of Normanton, MLI81940.
