Full Description
PRN 44017
An evaluation and watching brief recorded several ditches and gullies and a pit. Although undated, these features are thought to be prehistoric or Romano-British in date. See PRN 44016.{1}{2}
During a further watching brief at TF 320 615, more undated features were recorded, comprising of a ditch and oval pit. Again although undated they are thought to be perhaps Romano-British in date. {3}{4}
During trial trenching in June 2009 before the development of land at Sleaford Road, Archaeological Project Services revealed four linear features, a possible posthole and a possible pit in Trench One. In Trench Two, three ditches, a possible ditch, a pit or ditch terminus and a possible linear terminus were found and in Trench Three, two ditches and a posthole were uncovered. All of these features were undated. {5}{6}
