Description

An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken prior to groundworks for 6 poultry sheds, in order to assess the archaeological potential of the site. Six trenches were excavated originally, four measuring 120m in length and two measuring 10m in length. Following the discovery of archaeological remains in these trenches, four more short trenches were excavated (sizes were not given).{1}
