Full Description
MESOLITHIC FLINTS FORMING PART OF THE COLLECTION OF PREHISTORIC FINDS WERE DISCOVERED IN THE SAME AREA AS THE ANGLO-SAXON SETTLEMENT SITE. THESE INCLUDE FIVE MICROLITHS, ONE OF WHICH IS GEOMETRIC, AND THUS PLACES AT LEAST PART OF THE MESOLITHIC PRESENCE IN THE PERIOD AFTER C8500 BP. SOME OF THE FLINTWORK MAY BE MESOLITHIC-EARLY NEOLITHIC (51873). {1}
