Full Description

DURING A WATCHING BRIEF ON THE ROUTE OF A PIPELINE A PART OF A RING DITCH WAS IDENTIFIED WITH A DIAMETER OF ABOUT 14 METRES. SEVEN SHERDS OF DECORATED BEAKER TYPE POTTERY WAS FOUND IN THE FILL OF THE DITCH. THE DITCH WAS INTERPRETED AS THE SURROUNDING DITCH OF A BRONZE AGE BARROW CONTEMPOARY WITH THE SCHEDULED BARROW WHICH LIES 30 METRES TO THE WEST (PRN 43624). A DITCH (PRN 43687) WHICH MAY BE PREHISTORIC LIES BETWEEN THESE TWO BARROWS. {1}{2}
