'IN THE HIGHEST GROUND OF THE AREA OF THE ROMAN TOWN IS NOW AN OLD CHAPEL DEDICATED TO ST MARIE, AND THERE IS A HEREMITE'. {1}{2} IN 1929 THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE CHAPEL WERE STRONGLY MARKED. FOUNDATIONS COULD STILL BE TRACED IN 1965. {3}
