Full Description
A group of probable ditches were identified on land to the south of Somerby Hill, Londonthorpe and Harrowby Without parish, during a magnetometry survey in 2013. Some of these may represent historic field boundaries, though an approximately 590m long sinuous linear feature, aligned approximately east-west, is more probably Prehistoric. {1}{2}
A further possible field boundary ditch was indentified to the northeast of this group, during a geophysical survey in January-February 2013. Although parallel to the line of the Somerby Hill road, it is some 25m further south and is therefore considered unlikely to be a late-post-Medieval or modern boundary. {3}{4}
