Full Description

A geophysical survey conducted in 1998 revealed a number of linear features on land to the south of the A52, Wrangle. Subsequent trial trenching in December 2001 revealed these anomalies to be a series of ditches and gullies. All of these features truncated a post-Saxon alluvial deposit and at least one was confirmed to be cut into the subsoil, indicating a Late Medieval or post-Medieval date, though no datable finds were recovered to confirm this. {1}{2}{3}
