Abstract/Summary

Archive for a programme of archaeological evaluation comprising seven trial trenches excavated on land to the south of the A52, Wrangle, to inform the proposed construction of a new residential development. The trenches were positioned over anomalies previously identified by geophysical survey (see ELI2809). A small group of Late Saxon or Saxo-Norman features was identified in the northwest corner of the site, and further undated (but likely post-Medieval) drainage ditches were revealed across the site.
