Full Description

Brattleby war memorial consists of a pair of iron gates and supporting walls either side leading to St Cuthbert's Church. There are two stone tablets at either side of the gate inset onto curved stone walls which carry the names of the fallen of the First World War and Second World War. M. Credland writes that the exact date of unveiling is uncertain but notes that a small plaque on the left hand wall suggests that the inauguration took place in around 1920. The entrance is on the B1398 opposite the entrance to East Lane. {1}
