Full Description

The church of St Cuthbert's was largely rebuilt in 1858. The tower is almost completely original and dates from around 1150 (but is possibly early medieval in parts). The church was in normal use in 1964. There is a stone cross in the churchyard. {1}{2} A late 11th century church which was altered in around 1175 and in the 14th century. It was restored and partly rebuilt in 1858 by James Fowler.
