Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Archaeological Project Services between September and December 2008, during groundworks relating to the construction of a new music school and sports hall at Lincoln Minster School, Upper Lindum Street, Lincoln. The groundworks included substantial excavations to reduce ground level, as well as excavations for a lift pit. The watching brief resulted in the identification of significant remains associated with medieval limestone quarrying.
